Synopsis
Down on his luck, pilot Noah Dugan (Elliott Gould) has reached the end of his rope. He's deep in debt and his bookmaker's bill collectors are threatening unpleasant ways of making him pay up. When prim missionary Bernadette Lafleur (Geniève Bujold) hires Dugan to fly her and a B-29 bomber full of animals to an island mission in the South Pacific, what can he say but yes?

However, their plans quickly change when the plane strays off course and Dugan is forced to land on an unmapped island with lafleur and two stowaway kids (Ricky Schroder and Tammy Lauren). In order to survive, the foursome, along with two unexpexted allies, convert the downed plane into the oddest sea-going vessel ever, and then set sail on a perilous search for civilization in this contemporary adventure for the whole family!
