Synopsis
What price would you pay to have your deepest desires come true? That is the question posed to the citizens of Green Town ,Illinoise, by a seductive stranger named Mr. Dark (Jonathon Pryce), proprietor of Dark's Pandemonium Carnival, a shadowy traveling carnival fueled by the greed of the average man, by the torment of dreams grown old.

Two young boys are intrigued by Mr. Dark's promise of wild animals, "The Most Beautiful Women In The World" and a "Dust Witch", so they decide to investigate. When they realize the carnival's deadly and destructive secret, the boys turn to the town's librarian, charles Halloway (Jason Robards) for help. It is now up to Halloway to save them, and all of Green Town, from the deadly creatures of the carnival.
