Synopsis
Van de Academy Award-winnende makers van Finding Nemo, komt het actievolle animatieavontuur over het alledaagse maar ongelofelijke leven van een gezin vol superhelden.

Bob Parr en zijn vrouw Helen behoorden vroeger tot de groep van 's werelds grootste misdaadbestrijders. Levens redden en het kwaad bestrijden was hun dagelijks werk. Maar vijftien jaar later zijn ze gedwongen om als gewone burgers te leven en zich terug te trekken in een buitenwijk. Ze wonen daar als "normaal" gezin met hun drie kinderen, Violet, Dash en Jack Jack. Bob wil niets liever dan weer in actie komen. Hij grijpt zijn kans als hij door een mysterieuze opdrachtgever naar een afgelegen eiland wordt gestuurd voor een supergeheime missie. Daar ontdekt hij al gauw dat er een heel gezin superhelden nodig is om de wereld van de totale ondergang te redden.
