| In dit prachtige verhaal maken we kennis met Kiki, een lieve goedmoedige heks die volgens de traditie op 13 jarige leeftijd een jaar uit huis gaat om zich als heks te bewijzen. Zij vliegt op haar bezemsteel samen met haat slimme zwarte kat naar een schilderachtig stadje aan zee waar ze een vliegensvlugge koeriersdienst begint. De aardige bakkersvrouw is haar eerste klant en daar vindt ze ook een plek om te wonen. Dit is het begin van een buitengewoon avontuur waarin Kiki vele nieuwe vrienden ontmoet, spannende dingen beleeft en met veel humor leert om op eigen benen te staan. Deze film is gemaakt door Hayao Miyazaki, de Japanse "Walt Disney" die zorgt voor een nieuwe vorm van zeer kwalitatieve en kleurrijke animatie. Door deze mooie animatie, de humor en de prachtige muziek is deze fantasievolle tekenfilm voor de hele familie een feest om te zien.
