| ''Campfire Pals'' Limited-Edition Sericel That lovable resident of the Hundred Acre Wood, Pooh Bear, enjoys the great outdoors with his friends Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. And what would any sort of adventure with Pooh be without a smackeral of something sweet -- like toasted marshmallows around the campfire? This limited-edition sericel depicts beloved characters from Walt Disney's Winnie the Pooh. The original Pooh books were written by A. A. Milne and illustrated by E. H. Shepard. Both author and artist based Pooh's Hundred Acre Wood on the Ashford Forest in Sussex where Milne, his wife and his son, the original Christopher Robin, spent weekends away from their London home. When Walt Disney obtained the screen rights, he directed his artists to retain the charm of E. H. Shepard's original pen-and-ink illustrations. This visual style by the Disney layout and background artists conveyed the unique spirit of Pooh's ''enchanted neighborhood'' -- a distinctive look that has been reproduced in authentic animation art such as this sericel. This character image was created using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction known as serigraphy. Those fast friends, Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger, enjoy fun and togetherness in this outdoors-themed artwork, specially created by artists of the Walt Disney Studios Ink & Paint Department and reproduced in a color image consisting of twenty colors. The interpretive background accompanying the cel was created by Disney artists. The result is a fun-filled portrait of that ''silly old bear'' and his lovable friends. USA. Certificate of Authenticity. Limited Edition of 2000. | |||||||||||||
